Karthik Vijayakumar is a Technical Manager, Industry Solutions Architect and a Master Innovation Catalyst with IBM Software Labs. His experience in IT spans across architecture, design and development. He has lead teams in varying sizes and compositions for different customers and internal projects.

He is the Lab Technical Advocate for WebSphere brand to Citibank Singapore. In this role, he works with the bank and the IBM team to help with the product roadmaps, strategies and also in supporting their technical day-to-day needs.

He is an avid speaker and has presented papers and conducted sessions in a bunch of technical/non-technical conferences/fora.

He is a second-degree black belt in the Goju-Ryu style of Karate, and has undergone formal training for over 12 years. He likes blogging and running when he is not at work. He is the webmaster for the Chennai Runners website (www.chennairunners.com).
